Gun Law seminiars

At the last meeting, Mike Rosenthol spoke about his attendance to the gun law seminar that was emailed to everyone last week and spoke very highly of it. With the location being in Castle Rock and a snow storm impeding travel, it was noted that some members who wanted to attend, may not have had the opportunity to do so.

So for all who didn’t get a chance to attend, and would still like to, there are 2 gun law seminars coming up in Denver. The presentation is given by a company called U.S. LawShield. They are very informative and discuss topics such as:

  • Our state’s “Make my day” law
  • Castle doctrine and stand your ground law
  • When you can legally shoot
  • The legal use of force
  • Civil liability after you shoot (you can still be sued even if you are cleared in criminal court)
  • Traveling with firearms
  • Dealing with law enforcement or a difficult police officer

For example, do you know the difference between burglary, robbery and theft? Or if it is ok to use lethal force in each?

The floor is open to a Q&A after each presentation where you can ask questions or pose “what if” scenarios.

The cost is $10 per person to attend and you will receive a workbook written for the state of Colorado regarding the various laws. There is no hard sell to join or buy anything else. More information can be found at www.gunlawseminar.com or using the links below for registration.
